Resilience is women’s greatest strength. It’s true a historic, aggregate level as we fought quietly and then loudly for the right to be heard and to be valued. It’s true for the individual too, as we continuously face trials unique to the female: from harassment to disrespect to infertility to miscarriage to having kids and not losing one’s self as a result. Like the resilient aspen, first to come back after a fire, we are able to rise and rise again, resolutely thriving in the face of hardship, spreading our roots strong and deep to occupy our deserved place.
